Road patrol

Two weeks ago the year fives that had signed up for road patrol and the year six ,that were all ready road patrollers made a  movie. 

It was a movie about  using the crossing.

The Sore Ear

Last week I had a sore ear and had to miss a fun day of school. My Mum took me to the Gonville   Medical Centre and we waited till the it was 11:30 to see the doctor. She looked inside my ears and saw grommet scaring from when I was little and deaf. It turned out that I needed some tablets that I take every day.

Cycle Safety

Yesterday Room 6 had cycle safety out on the school courts. We brought our bikes and did a course where we did U turns and went over a bumpy ladder. I liked the teeter totter the best. Constable Val set it up so we could learn about cycle safety. At the end the people who didn't bring a bike scored the people who did. They scored us on how well we did. My score was five out of ten.

Food for Thought

Last week Room 6 learnt about food. We went to New World on Friday to test out our food labelling skills. We had a person that was a nutritionist and she was called Nova who came in  earlier in the week teaching us about food labelling and the food pyramid. We each got given a work sheet to fill in with the rest of  our reading group. It was all about labelling that we had learnt over the past few days. It was loads of fun for people that liked reading food labels.

When we finished we turned them over and wrote on the back of them . It was about the colour of the fruit or veggie. This time it wasn't all over the supermarket it was only in the veggie aisle. And when we were done we walked back to School.

Westmere Walkway

It was a great day for a walk on Thursday so, Room 6, Room 5 and Room 4 all went on the Westmere Walkway. It was really fun for people that were prepared and really wanted to go. There were lots of cows and cow poo on the track. We stopped beside a humongous hill for lunch, on the other side there was a small creek that people where jumping over. I was playing on the hill, because I like seeing views from up high. We went off once again, but this time it was much more muddier and stinker. I got stuck in the mud three times. Lucky some one was threre to pull me out. I had lost the bottom of my shoe and so my feet were very muddy. My best part was getting dirty and muddy.
